How to play Asteroid Belt
- Press Start, then rotate your ship and thrust to move.
- Fire at the drifting rocks. A large rock splits into two mediums, a medium into two smalls.
- Clear every rock on screen to advance to the next, denser wave.
- You have three ships. Colliding with any rock costs one.

Tips & strategy
- Thrust in short taps. There is no brake, so momentum is the thing that kills you.
- Shoot large rocks only when you have room — two mediums heading at you is worse than one slow large.
- Clearing the screen down to one small rock lets you reposition safely before the next wave.
- Hyperspace is a last resort: it moves you instantly but can drop you on top of a rock.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a high score?
Smaller rocks are worth more. A large rock scores 20, a medium 50, and a small 100, so breaking rocks all the way down pays far better than avoiding them.
Does the ship have inertia?
Yes. Releasing thrust does not stop you — you keep drifting, which is the core challenge of the game.
What happens at the edge of the screen?
Everything wraps. Fly off the right edge and you reappear on the left, and the same is true for rocks and bullets.
