Tips & strategy

  • Free cells and empty columns multiply how many cards you can move at once — keep them open.
  • Plan several moves ahead before committing a card to a free cell; cells are easy to clog.
  • Dig out the aces and twos early so the foundations can start accepting cards.
  • Almost every FreeCell deal is winnable, so a loss usually means a better line existed.

Frequently asked questions

Are all FreeCell deals winnable?

Very nearly. Of the classic numbered deals only a tiny handful are impossible, so most losses come down to the order you played, not the deal.

How many cards can I move at once?

As many as (free cells + 1) doubled for each empty column — the game enforces the limit for you.
