How to play Spider Solitaire

  1. Press New Game to deal ten columns (this one-suit game uses eight sets of spades).
  2. Click a card to lift it with any ordered run beneath it, then click a column to drop it.
  3. You can place any card onto one of the next rank up, regardless of order elsewhere.
  4. Gather a full run from King down to Ace and it clears. Remove all eight to win. Deal adds a card to every column.

Tips & strategy

  • Empty a column when you can — it's the most flexible place to park a run.
  • Build in true sequence so a finished run clears itself and frees space.
  • You can't deal a new row while any column is empty, so plan before dealing.
  • Fewer moves scores better, so avoid shuffling cards around needlessly.

Frequently asked questions

Why one suit?

One-suit Spider is the most approachable version — every card is a spade, so any card stacks on one rank higher. It's a great way to learn the game.

When can I deal?

Tap Deal Row to add one card to every column, but only when no column is empty.

How is my score tracked?
